Purple and beige flower nails

I love all of my fantastic pinterest inspirations… and this one is no different! I did use a new “trick” that took me way too long to figure out, keep reading to find out what it is!

Gray sparkle

Gray sparkle nails

I love an accent nail. In all honesty, probably a little too much! I love the chunky glitter (don’t love taking it off quite as much…) and after seeing a similar look I decided to try this look. I have read that dabbing glitter instead of brushing it on normally helps with the chunkier glitter, and I did that then a few quick pats with my lovely makeup sponge to help dry it quicker! I added a picture below of what I used for inspiration. I think the next time I try these I’ll stick with all the nails gray, then the glitter, and not the black underneath like I did today. Either way, I still love it!

Nail polish galore!

DIY nail polish rack

I have to thank my sister for this one! In my attempt to get organized I couldn’t help look over at my pile of nail polishes and cringe. I had read many different ideas, everything from using old spice racks (way too pricey to me) to making a book of nail polish swatches so people can browse that to find the color they way (didn’t seem that practical to me). Then my sister mentioned she saw something using a foam board, hot glue and a razor and about an hour later we had this beauty! It is surprisingly sturdy and easy to move around. Only downside is… I need to make another one for all my nail polish to fit!!

Yellow and white polka dot nails

I love these nails! I wanted something sweet but sassy and I think these fit the bill quite nicely. I really like the way the white polka dots (made using a bobby pin!) look paired with the yellow, and I went for a shiny silver accent nail to give it a little pop.

Yellow wildflower nails

Let’s be honest, things don’t always come out quite as I planned. These got a solid “meh” from my sister and I feel the same. As you can see below, the inspiration for these nails is adorable, mine still need a bit of work!

Caviar nails

I was intrigued by this look but I wasn’t so in love with it that I wanted to go out and spend way too much money on one of the kits from Sephora. Then on a trip to the dollar store (yay for dollar stores!) I noticed that had a package of 8 different colors in the mircobeads used for, you guessed it, $1!

Pale pink gradient glitter nails

I love these!! After three coats of the pale pink color I found nice and cheap (yay $2!!) I was a little bummed it wasn’t as opaque as I had hoped. I grabbed some gold glitter polish and painted the top half of the nail and then with a makeup sponge dabbed some solid gold polish on the tips! The picture really doesn’t do it justice, a very feminine look with a hint of flare!

Splatter Nails

The learning curve for this I found to be STEEP  but once you get the hang of it I think they can be a lot of fun!

Best natural upset stomach cure

I haven’t been feeling the best the past few days and while I was desperately trying to find something to calm my stomach I did a little online searching to see if any of my newly bought essential oils (hooray for homemade body products!) would help.  This worked better (and quicker!) for me than any pepto or tums or anything of the like! Peppermint oil can be bought online and two ounces is more than enough to last forever. I usually go to Zerbos to get mine.

What did I use? First burn a piece of toast, finally a reason to turn that dial on the toaster all the way over and chow down. The charcoal helps to settle your stomach. Then I took a bathroom cup and filled it with water, added 2-3 drops of the peppermint oil and slammed it like a shot (it doesn’t taste bad or anything like that, I just think it’s more fun to drink it that way!)

I was amazed.
